Although graduated in Hotel Management, Catarina soon found her passion to be a massage therapist through early contact with the field, especially as a client, but also working in spa receptions over the course of her career.
Driven by this influence and the desire to help others with their well being, she found massage to be the perfect way to start following her purpose. Attending various long and short massage courses, she has been perfecting not only the art of relaxation but also more prominently evolving in the area of therapeutic massage, more precisely with Myofascial therapy. Catarina's favorite relaxing massages are aromatherapy, lomi lomi and Indian head massage.
Stimulated by a family that has dedicated a lifetime to sports, Catarina has always been a very active person, having practiced several different physical activities, from ballet, gymnastics, dance, tennis, horse riding and others.
Always eager to learn more about the body, not just from an anatomical and physiological point of view, but also through functional movement analysis and the relationship of our bodies with the environment. Her goal is to be able to truly make a difference in peoples lives by helping them follow a path of health through massage and movement.
Her interest in practicing yoga started a few years ago on a small tropical island called Koh Tao. In Koh Tao, she studied at the first and pioneer yoga school of the island "Shambhala" and fell in love with regular practice.
For the last two years she has lived in Thailand, having a wonderful time learning and immersing in the extraordinary culture and experiencing a new lifestyle.
Previously she worked in a primary school, kindergarten and nursery as an educator and special needs teacher in her hometown of Reggio Emilia. She loves travelling, reading, hiking, cycling & diving.
Elena is a certified alignment yoga teacher, studied at "Alignment 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, Ananda Yoga & Detox Center,
Koh Phangan, Thailand, Jhonny Nasello pure Ananda program".
She is prepared to teach energizing vinyasa style classes, restorative & gentle yoga, peak pose sequences, specific body part focus practice, guided pranayama and meditation.
She will be able to share with you the best yoga sequence based on your requests and your body type, according to any kind of
levels of practice.
